Introduction:

The SNA at Narayana College of Nursing is dedicated to promoting the holistic development of nursing students. It provides a platform for students to actively participate in extracurricular activities, hone their leadership skills, and engage in community service. The association works closely with the faculty to create a supportive environment for students, enabling them to develop as skilled, compassionate, and ethical nurses.

Objectives:

1. Professional Development: Enhance the nursing skills and knowledge of students through workshops, seminars, and training programs.
2. Promote Academic Excellence: Encourage students to strive for academic excellence and provide a platform for collaborative learning.
3. Foster Leadership and Teamwork: Encourage leadership skills and promote teamwork through active involvement in various activities and events.
4. Community Outreach: Engage students in social service, health awareness programs, and outreach activities to serve the community.
5. Celebrate Diversity and Culture: Promote cultural inclusivity and celebrate various festivals and significant days that are important to students.
6. Student Welfare: Represent and address the concerns of nursing students to ensure a positive educational experience.

Functions:

• Plan and coordinate events such as conferences, competitions, and cultural programs to enrich students' personal and professional experiences.
• Act as a liaison between nursing students and faculty, advocating for students’ needs, concerns, and suggestions related to the nursing program.
• Provide leadership opportunities within the association for students to enhance their organizational and teamwork skills.
