International Students Cell – Narayana College of Nursing

The International Students Cell (ISC) of Narayana College of Nursing facilitates admissions and support services for international and NRI students. The Cell coordinates international student admissions, institutional collaborations, academic exchanges, and student observer-ships in clinical and community health settings.

The Cell assists international students throughout their academic journey by ensuring a smooth admission process and a comfortable transition to life and study in India. Support is provided for visa formalities, FRRO registration, accommodation, and orientation programs.

Support Services for International Students

The International Students Cell provides guidance on:

  • Admission procedures and documentation
  • Visa processing and FRRO formalities (C-Form, S-Form, etc.)
  • Accommodation and hostel facilities
  • Medical insurance and healthcare services
  • Living expenses and campus life
  • Academic resources, hospital facilities, sports, and recreation

The Cell ensures that international students feel welcomed, safe, and supported, and arranges friendly assistance upon arrival.

Orientation & First Month Support

The initial weeks can be challenging for international students due to a new environment and culture. The Cell encourages students to arrive early to participate in the International Student Orientation Program, which provides:

  • Practical guidance on academics and campus facilities
  • Introduction to faculty, peers, and support staff
  • Cultural familiarization and peer interaction

This program helps students settle comfortably before the commencement of classes.

Student Support & Counselling Services

NRI Quota Admissions

Admissions under the NRI / NRI Sponsored quota at Narayana College of Nursing, Nellore, affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, are governed by the rules and regulations of the affiliating University and Government of Andhra Pradesh.

  • 15% of the total intake is earmarked for NRI quota as per G.O. Ms. No. 111, HM & FW (C1) Department, dated 07.07.2017.
  • NRI sponsored candidates must submit a declaration (Annexure–II) duly signed by the candidate and sponsor.

Required Documents (NRI Sponsor):

  • Green Card / Citizenship Card
  • Copy of Passport issued by the respective country
  • NRI Bank Statement (last 6 months)
  • Latest Electricity / Gas / Water Bill in the name of the NRI
    (Visa or Driving Licence will not be accepted)
