LIBRARY COMMITTEE
Description:
The library committee consists of a group of persons who are empowered to do certain jobs relating to the library and administration. The library committee has as enormous power to acquire books and journals, be responsible for managing library functions, etc. The library committee reviews and recommends policies for the library.

Objectives:
- To develop a collection of reading material useful for various courses
- To provide full information to the teaching-learning process in the college
- To provide various library services and facilities to the readers
- To support research activity for its progress and qualitative development
- To prepare the rules and regulations of the library
- To address students complaints if any
- To decide and adopt policies to govern the management and program of the library
- To provide a channel of communication between the library, the faculty, staff and students.
Plan of action:
- Advises and reviews library policies for infrastructure, resources, services and the facility
- Advises regarding library services, especially innovation for the campus community
- Ensures the library is connected with and supports the university academic programs
- Promote the library to the internal and external community
- Represent the views of the library stakeholders on library and information services.
- Support the library’s efforts in ensuring financial accountability and responsibilities in the provision of library collection
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment
Resolution:
The plan of action carried out will help to develop the knowledge by reading the books, maintaining silence and discipline, increasing the reading habit, and managing the records.
