The Narayana College of Nursing Alumni Association aims to bring together past and current students to strengthen professional relationships, support personal and career growth, and contribute to the continued success of our college.

Objectives:

  1. Unite Alumni: Bring all alumni under one network, fostering a strong sense of community.
  2. Build Connections: Strengthen ties among alumni, promoting collaboration and support.
  3. Create Interest Groups: Provide platforms for alumni with shared interests to connect and grow.
  4. Share Updates: Keep alumni informed about college activities, events, and achievements, no matter where they are in the world.
  5. Support College Mission: Uphold the values and mission of Narayana College of Nursing in all alumni activities.
  6. Organize Events: Host professional, social, and cultural events to encourage personal and professional development.

Executive Committee Structure:

The Alumni Association of Narayana College of Nursing is governed by an Executive Committee (EC) consisting of dedicated members who work collaboratively to strengthen alumni relations, support professional growth, and foster the community of nursing professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities of Executive Committee Members:

  1. President:

- Presides over all Alumni Association meetings.

- Nominates a substitute in case of absence of both the President and Vice President.

- Oversees and coordinates the election process for the next Executive Committee.

  1. Vice President:

- Assists the President in all responsibilities.

- Acts on behalf of the President in her absence.

- Carries out any additional duties as assigned by the President.

  1. General Secretary:

- Responsible for calling and organizing EC and General Body meetings in coordination with the President and Vice President.

- Records and maintains minutes of all EC and General Body meetings.

- Presents suggestions and proposals from the Executive Committee and General Body for discussion and action.

- Ensures that decisions made by the EC and General Body are implemented.

- Responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the Alumni Association.

  1. Joint Secretary:

- Acts in place of the General Secretary in her absence.

- Assists the General Secretary in daily responsibilities.

- Performs tasks assigned by the President or Vice President.

  1. Treasurer:

- Manages collection of membership fees and all other income of the Association.

- Maintains detailed accounts of the Association's financial transactions.

- Prepares and submits annual financial statements for scrutiny by the EC.

- Oversees the preparation of audited accounts and presents them to the General Body.

  1. Executive Committee Members:

- Assist in the execution of duties and facilitate coordination among members to ensure the smooth functioning of the association.

- Conveners of various committees have the authority to form subcommittees to meet objectives effectively.

Key Activities of the Alumni Association

The Narayana College of Nursing Alumni Association is committed to fostering connections, providing opportunities for professional development, and celebrating the success of its members. The association actively engages in the following activities:

  1. Maintaining a Member Directory:

- Regularly updates and maintains a comprehensive database of alumni members to encourage networking and collaboration.

  1. Alumni Events and Networking:

- Organizes alumni reunions, facilitating valuable connections among past graduates.

- Encourages networking opportunities through various alumni engagement events.

  1. Annual General Body Meetings:

- Holds an annual meeting to discuss the state of the association, approve decisions, and elect new Executive Committee members.

  1. Professional Development Seminars/Workshops:

- Organizes seminars, symposia, and workshops aimed at enhancing professional knowledge and skills, and addressing current trends in nursing and healthcare.

  1. Community Service Initiatives:

- Supports community outreach programs, healthcare camps, and volunteer activities aimed at giving back to society.

  1. Mentorship Programs:

- Facilitates mentorship between seasoned alumni and current students, fostering professional growth and guidance for upcoming nurses.
