Aims and Objectives

  2. Ensure Transparency: Promote accountability and transparency in the institution's functioning.
  3. Safeguard Rights: Safeguard the rights and dignity of students by addressing their concerns promptly.
  4. Foster a Healthy Environment: Encourage a harmonious environment conducive to learning and personal development.
  5. Promote Awareness: Educate students about their rights and responsibilities as stakeholders in the institution

Frequency of Meetings

  • The committee must convene at least twice every academic year or more frequently as needed to address grievances in a timely manner.
  • Emergency meetings called to handle urgent issues.

Functions of the SGRC

  1. Grievance Registration: Establish an accessible system for students to lodge complaints (e.g., physical forms, online portal).
  2. Investigation: Analyze and investigate the complaints thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.
  3. Resolution: Recommend solutions or take action to resolve grievances, including academic, administrative, or personal issues.
  4. Coordination: Collaborate with relevant departments or authorities to facilitate grievance resolution.
  5. Advisory Role: Provide feedback to the institution's management on systemic issues or recurring problems and suggest improvements.
  6. Monitoring and Reporting: Maintain records of grievances and resolutions and submit periodic reports to the institutional head or governing body.
