RESEARCH ADVISORY COMMITTEE
A Research Advisory Committee (RAC) for Narayana College of Nursing would play a significant role in shaping, overseeing, and enhancing the research culture and quality within the institution.
Objectives
- Guide and support faculty and students in conducting high-quality, ethically sound, and impactful research.
- Encourage research initiatives that align with current healthcare and nursing priorities, both regionally and nationally.
- Promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration with other healthcare institutions and research organizations.
Committee Constitution:
- The Research committee reconstituted with the following members with effect from 05/06/2023, the committee will be effective for five years from the mentioned date.

Key Functions and Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize research areas relevant to Nursing education.
- Biannual research agendas and timelines for projects in line with Narayana College of Nursing and national health priorities.
- Review research proposals from faculty and final B.Sc.(N), M.Sc.(N)students& Ph.D. Scholars to assess feasibility, ethical considerations, and alignment Narayana college of Nursing priorities.
- Track ongoing research projects and provide support or resources when needed to ensure successful completion.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions on research methodology, ethical conduct, and manuscript preparation.
- Facilitate collaborations and partnerships with other Nursing colleges, healthcare institutions, and research organizations.
- Collaborate with the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) to ensure all research adheres to ethical guidelines.
- Encourage publication of research findings in reputable nursing and healthcare journals.
- Meeting Frequency
- The RAC is conducting meeting quarterly to review progress, address challenges, and plan future research initiatives.
- Reporting
- The RAC reporting its activities, findings, and recommendations to the college administration, developing annual reports summarizing research accomplishments, challenges, and future directions.
